Professional Experience and Sample of Projects

  •  Design and delivery of workshops for Queensland Health throughout Queensland including regional and remote areas based on the adoption of the National health Services ( UK) Leadership Qualities Framework. A comprehensive program was designed to translate the framework into action and real behavioural change .  It  included a foundation 2 day  workshop followed by  workshops on Personal Leadership Qualities, Delivering the Service and Setting Direction respectively. These workshops have been delivered to over 4000 participants throughout the state. Key aspects of the work included: Key aspects of developing and implementing the program included:
    • The requirement to become familiar with the concepts and details of the NHS Leadership Qualities Framework and to design learning experiences that would allow participants to apply the data to their own practice and communities.
    • Workshops based on adult learning techniques which included video vignettes, group discussion , break out groups, experiential learning activities, self reflection, journaling , case studies, readings, profiling,  and role playing with an emphasis on transfer of learning into the workplace.
    • Assistance with completion of personal action plans on completion of the workshops.
    • Advice on further resources, development opportunities, and coaching.
    • Evaluation and follow up of workshops throughout Queensland.

  •  Jacque also conducts specific workshops on Coaching Skills for Leaders which includes the application of a coaching model and methodology for coaching. Workshops  have been conducted throughout Queensland over a period of 2.5 years and include participant workbooks, experiential learning techniques, self reflection , discussion, role play and completion of  personal action plans.
  • Following the completion of the Culture and Climate surveys by Queensland Health Jacque  was contracted to conduct programs with particular stakeholders in order to effect change around the results of the surveys. This resulted in
    • Feedback meetings with stakeholders for presentation and discussion of the data provided by the survey
    • Focus groups to determine courses of action and priorities around the survey results
    • Design and delivery of workshops to meet the outcomes as identified from the surveys
    • Follow up meetings and group sessions to discuss outcomes and continued development
    • Coaching of key stakeholders to ensure longevity of results.

  • As a contractor for the past 5 years  with the Australian Institute of Management, Jacque has delivered a range of programs including facilitation, training, and speaking engagements for both public and corporate clients. Topics have included leadership, team building, time management, conflict resolution, negotiation skills, customer service, assertion skills, professional presentations, motivation of teams, positive thinking, and others. Many programs utilize profiling tools for participants to gain feedback and to design their own learning contracts for behaviour change and development based on particular models and frameworks. This requires sensitive and astute coaching when participants maybe challenged by the feedback.
  • Jacque is a contractor and visiting fellow with the Queensland University of Technology School of Public Health for the delivery of programs in leadership and management.
  • Jacque was engaged to provide facilitation for the Queensland Children’s Hospital Family Advisory Council for Parents of Children with Complex Care Needs. A workshop was designed and delivered using the Appreciative Inquiry Process to meet the outcomes required of the Council for incorporation into the design of the Mater Childrens  Hospital.
  •  Jacque has also worked with the Allied Health using an Appreciative Inquiry methodology to assist with developing collaborative relationships across professional groups in order to improve service delivery to clients.
