A rigorous approach to process and a strong focus on continuous improvement has led Transform Developments to develop a in-depth stable of tried and tested methods for various applications.
Our broad Learning and Development philosophy is outlined below with some of our specific methods overviewed in the tab headings.
To ensure maximum engagement, didactic-style content presentation is used only when absolutely needed. We believe that participants will be much more engaged if they are experientially learning about and using the data, rather than simply having it explained to them. Consequently, a mix of straight instruction, elicitation from participants, engagement processes, case studies and hand-on experiential work with the data is used. It is important to respect the fact that participants enter a training program with varying levels of skill, experience and expertise. We are careful to work at an appropriate level for participants so that we are neither teaching them how to “suck eggs” nor leaving them behind. Workshop design draws on a range of learning and development methods including appreciative inquiry, current state – future state planning techniques, and consensus process. Workshop design is also cognisant of key empirical findings about adult education with a range of strategies utilised to ensure maximum participant engagement, personal investment by participants and optimum learning transfer to the working environment.
